Who runs Sitlan Immigration Consulting?
Sitlan Immigration Consulting is the practice of Sithandweyinkosi Nxumalo, RCIC-IRB #R731453, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). She holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and has over three years of practice experience focused on family sponsorship, refugee and humanitarian cases.
How much do your services cost?
We work on fixed-fee proposals so you know the full cost before signing anything. Fees vary by program complexity, for example, a straightforward visitor visa is priced differently from a complex spousal sponsorship or a refugee claim. We always provide a written quote after the discovery call.
Do I really need a consultant?
You're allowed to apply on your own. But IRCC's forms, eligibility criteria, and supporting documents are unforgiving, one misclassified relationship date or missed deadline can mean a refusal that haunts future applications. A good consultant earns their fee by getting it right the first time.
How long does the process take?
Timelines depend entirely on the program. Spousal sponsorship currently runs 12 to 24 months. Study permits range from 4 to 12 weeks. Visitor visas often process in weeks; Super Visa within a few months. Refugee and H&C timelines vary widely. We provide realistic timelines during your strategy session.
Can you guarantee an approval?
No reputable consultant or lawyer can guarantee outcomes, the decision rests with IRCC. What we can guarantee is meticulous file preparation, honest assessment of your odds, and full transparency throughout. If we don't think your file is strong, we'll tell you.
Do you work with clients outside Edmonton?
Yes, we serve clients across Canada and around the world. The majority of our work happens via secure video calls and a client portal, so location is rarely a barrier. Edmonton clients are welcome to meet in person.
